Trustee Focus: Masih Ferdosian
Canadian Print Scholarships is proud to recognize Masih Ferdosian as a Trustee whose steady leadership and educator’s mindset help strengthen pathways into the printing industry for students across Canada.
Celebrating Masih’s Leadership
Masih brings a rare blend of hands-on production experience, digital transformation expertise, and classroom leadership to the Board. Based in British Columbia, he serves as Program Head for Graphic Communications at BCIT, where he supports curriculum, student learning, and strong connections between education and industry needs.
Before stepping into post-secondary leadership, Masih built his career across key parts of print and graphic communications. His early years in print production and customer workflow support shaped his understanding of how quality, service, and deadlines intersect on the shop floor. He later moved into web-to-print and online services, helping teams develop and maintain systems that streamline ordering and improve customer experience. That mix of operational knowledge and technology focus continues to inform how he thinks about preparing students for today’s roles, from prepress and colour management to e-commerce for print.
In Their Own Words
Future leaders of our industry are those who can see the change and adapt to them. My focus is to help clarify those changes through education, communication and experience.
Supporting the Next Generation
For Masih, scholarships are more than financial support. They are a signal that the print community is paying attention to students who are showing commitment, curiosity, and professional promise. As a Trustee, he helps keep the Board’s work grounded in what learners and employers are experiencing right now, including the growing importance of digital workflows, practical training, and clear communication. His perspective reinforces a simple idea, when students feel supported and see a future in print, they stay engaged, build confidence, and enter the workforce ready to contribute.
Inspiring Industry Involvement
Leadership in this sector has always been community-driven, with printers, suppliers, educators, and partners sharing knowledge to move the craft forward. Masih models that approach by connecting classroom realities with industry expectations and by encouraging collaboration that benefits students. His example is a reminder that investing in scholarships is a practical way for organizations and individuals to support workforce development, recognize emerging talent, and strengthen the long-term health of graphic communications in Canada.
