Student Focus: Joseph Tanel

2023-01-23/in News, Students/by Editor

“My name is Joseph Tanel and I am a Graphic Communications Management student at Toronto Metropolitan University. I want to thank all the donors who have contributed their support in making this Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship a possibility.

Receiving this scholarship has encouraged me to work harder in my studies and has given me the chance to connect with the print industry and its professionals.

The things about this industry that have captivated me, and continue to inspire me, are the technological processes and the innovative and creative ideas that help us visually communicate a customer’s message to their desired audience. Whenever I had the chance to work on a project that helped someone communicate their message, I have always enjoyed watching the finished project being output and become available to the masses. I feel that this is an amazing and rewarding aspect of the industry.

The Graphic Communications Management program at Toronto Metropolitan University is giving me the tools and the knowledge to become a professional in the print industry. My program has allowed me to learn from professionals from the industry while using state of the art technology. I am also able to learn alongside many talented and innovative friends who challenge me to work harder as a graphic communications student.”

Joseph Tanel, Toronto Metropolitan University, Class of 2023
