“My name is Evin Wong, and I am a student enrolled in the Graphic Communications Management program at Ryerson University.
I decided to attend this program because of what the program had to offer. I wanted to pursue a job that had elements of creativity and design but also allowed me to hone other, more technical, skills. Before coming into the program, my only thought regarding print was how amazing art prints looked when printed on various types of paper.
GCM has allowed me to explore the more technical aspect of a highly creative, significant, and innovative industry. I originally was interested in solely publishing and graphic design but through my year of study, the GCM program has also piqued my interest in packaging and its importance to both consumerism and human society.
Thank you to the donors contributing to the Canadian Print Scholarships for providing the monetary funds I need to continue learning about this industry without worrying as much about my financial situation. I look forward to another year of learning about printing and its influences on people and the world we live in.”
The mission of the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund is to attract the brightest and best students available to the graphic communications industry by providing financial assistance to enroll and continue in a post-secondary management or technical program at an approved institution.
