Student Focus: Emma Scott
Hello! My name is Emma Scott. I am a fourth-year student at Toronto Metropolitan University pursuing a bachelor of technology in Graphic Communiucations Management.
As a creative individual who grew up in a science-loving family, I have always struggled to separate art from technology and creativity from science. In fact, I hope I never do learn to separate the two. When I learned about the GCM program at TMU, I was attracted to it because it provides an environment that encourages the interaction of these two major forces in my life.
In this program, I am provided opportunities to understand the processes by which it is possible to produce beautiful and functional designs. I can’t wait to use this knowledge to go out into the world and make things.
As I look forward to beginning my career in the graphic communications industry and I reflect on my first three years at TMU, it is really important for me to acknowledge the support provided to me by Canadian Print Scholarships. I am so appreciative of the donors who make the Canadian
Printing Industries Scholarship possible. It is because of your generosity that I have felt welcomed and supported by the graphic communications community since the day I started my journey at TMU. Thank you so much for your support. I can’t wait to see where it takes me.
