Alvira Estepa is a scholarship student in the Graphic Communications Management program at Ryerson University (Class of 2020).
“Hi, my name is Alvira Magdalene Estepa. As a recipient of the scholarship, I feel truly honoured that this award supports students like myself. With the CPTISF scholarship, not only am I recognized because of my grades but I am also recognized by industry leaders who support the next generation of print students.
I was interviewed by Paul Tasker, VP at Spicers Canada. This opened a lot of opportunities to meet people in the print industry and lead to my volunteering at the Canadian Print Awards in 2017 and 2019. This scholarship gave me peace of mind because of tuition costs, but it also motivated me to be an outstanding student throughout my years in University.
At the end of my third year, I am interning with an entry-level management position as a Project Coordinator. I would not have imagined myself doing this three or four years ago.”
The mission of the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund is to attract the brightest and best students available to the graphic communications industry by providing financial assistance to enroll and continue in a post-secondary management or technical program at an approved institution.
