Job Summary: The Press Feeder is responsible for directly assisting the Press operator in producing all offset press projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Coordinates workload schedule to meet customer time frame requirements while achieving optimum productivity. Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output. Works closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties:
General and Administrative
Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
Wear appropriate safety protection when using or mixing chemicals.
Participate as a key player in the Production Team by supporting operations as needed.
Communicate effectively with the General Manager, the Production Manager, and the Production Team and the Press Operator, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that both sales and customer objectives are met.
Comply with all OHSA safety requirements.
Follow systems and procedures outlined in company Procedure Manual.
Responsible for operating and maintaining the feeder section of the Press
Assist in operation of offset press to produce jobs.
Assist Press Operator in functions as noted on the work order/job tickets.
Ensure paper is loaded into the feeding-end for running jobs, as well as maintain paper supply throughout the job run.
Remove and clean plates and cylinder at end of press run.
Mount plates and cylinders and make appropriate adjustments.
Perform routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
Fill ink foundation and control colour.
Mix ink when required and interface with the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and the Press Operator.
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment; be familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets regarding chemicals used.
Other duties as assigned.
Equipment and Supplies
Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures and update maintenance logs.
Monitor and manage inventory of press supplies as directed
Inform Press Operator of equipment problems.

Minimum of two years experience in a commercial printing company or equivalent manufacturing industry.
Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Experience with commercial sheetfed work preferred.
Solid understanding of offset lithographic process.
Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
Must be reliable and flexible to meet customer demands.
Communicates with others in a positive and helpful manner.
Excellent organizational and mathematical skills.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Standing for prolonged periods of time – up to 8 hours or more per day.
Frequent lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and twisting is required.
Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
Exposure to ink and chemical fumes, and airborne particles such as paper dust and drying powder.
Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
Additional hours may be required due to operational requirements.
This is a part time position and hours will vary depending on operational needs and at the sole discretion of the Sina Printing Inc.
