The School of Graphic Communications Management (GCM) at Ryerson University has experienced a significant increase in 1st year applications for the upcoming academic year.
Since becoming a pilot program scholarship partner, GCM has ramped up promotional efforts around the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship. This includes representation at the Ontario University Fair held last September.
Jason Lisi, Chair of GCM said “We promoted the scholarship heavily at the Fair and have increased applications by 43% overall. Additionally, we have a 65% increase in the high performing applicants the scholarship targets.”
“This is evidence that our scholarships really do work as an incentive to attract the brightest and best students to the graphic communications industry” mentioned Jeff Ekstein, Chair of Canadian Print Scholarships.”
“We rely on the print community to support our scholarships and hope that more companies and organizations will see the positive results we can achieve together. Donations can be made online at printscholarships.ca or we can provide an invoice if needed” added Ken Freek, Executive Director of Canadian Print Scholarships.
The mission of the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund is to attract the brightest and best students available to the graphic communications industry by providing financial assistance to enroll and continue in a post-secondary management or technical program at an approved institution.
