Supply Chain Chaos – What’s a Poor Printer To Do?

October 20 @ 13:00 - 14:00 EDT

According to Logistics experts – “There really is a perfect storm of supply chain issues”.
Supply chain bottlenecks are squeezing businesses big and small. Ports are backed up and there’s red-hot demand for truckers. Customer expectations have risen only in one direction — and that’s up. Capacity constraint and lack of available labour – from drivers to shop floor workers, add into the mix the process of turning raw materials into a finished good and bringing it to a consumer’s home across the globe relies on a lot of interdependencies. Logistics has reached the point that the existing software data and tools to make that job a reality are really strained. Hugely challenged supply chains are experiencing delays increasing by 425% year-over-year. And the costs are rising with them.

The DIA has brought together 3 Industry experts from different aspects of the supply chain to talk about what’s happening, and recommend what steps printers need to take to neutralize these challenges as much as possible.

Spicers – distributor of paper and specialty products for the printing industry, represented by Cory Turner, President;

Domtar – a paper, pulp and packaging company, represented by Stéphane Dagenais, Region Manager, Canada

Trinet Global Logistics, provider of global freight forwarding services, represented by Warren McCaffrey, President

Moderator will be Stephen Longmire, DIA Past President, and General Sales Manager of Sydney Stone.
