Donor Focus: Battlefield Press

2022-12-18/in Donors, News/by Editor

We know the importance of creating connections between employers and students studying for careers in our industry. Thank you Battlefield Press for supporting this important work.

Headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, we are a team of collaborative, innovative, passionate individuals who are committed to providing the end user the ultimate solution.

With almost 55 employees working in 2 locations, we strive to be a responsible contributor in our industry and to our community where we operate. Battlefield Press is a third generation family owned and operated facility which continues to evolve and diversify within the printing industry.
Since it was founded in 1964, being first has been its mantra. In the ‘60s, Battlefield was among the first in Ontario to offer 4-colour printing. In the ‘90s, they led with digital printing and workflow technology. Battlefield was the only printer in Canada to offer 12-colour perfecting on a printing press in 2005.

In 2016, they were the first in North America to print on a custom Heidelberg 7-colour UV press that could handle press sheets 41½ inches wide. That same year they were the first Canadian printer to win Sappi’s Printer of the Year Award. 2018 saw the install of another XL106-8P+L equipped with LED-UV, yet another first for Canada.

Up to the most recent development being the acquisition of Clearpak, a leader in the clear plastic folding carton segment. Battlefield is not stopping there and intends on continuing to move in a positive growth direction both in volume and customer base; but has set a standard that they only do so while showing their customers they care and must maintain the best quality standards available.
