Association Focus: Canadian Printing Industries Association
The Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA) represents an economically significant, incredibly diverse and always evolving industry in Canada.
Our mission as an association is to strengthen and support the continual advancement of the printing industry across Canada. We set out to accomplish this mission in two important ways:
Provide a national voice and platform for our industry
Provide a central connecting point for regional print associations, sector associations and print-focussed post-secondary educational programs
We aim to bring our industry closer together – through facilitating the collaboration of our members and key industry stakeholders; and through active engagement with other industry sectors, Provincial Governments and the Federal Government of Canada.
As the digital transformation continues, our industry continues to adapt and maintain its economic and cultural importance. According to the most recent employment statistics, the printing and related industries in Canada employ close to 50,000 people across more than 3,000 businesses.
Our industry is in a state of constant change and ultimately, we believe that a connected, engaged and collaborative print industry in Canada will help its member organizations adapt and succeed in the future while making a significant economic and cultural contribution to Canada.
“The mission of Canadian Print Scholarships is to attract the brightest and best students available to the graphic communications industry by providing financial assistance to enroll and continue in a post-secondary management or technical program at an approved institution.”
