Danika Poon

2021/2022 Warren Wilkins Memorial Scholarship Winner

2022-08-16/in News, Scholarships/by Editor

“We’re pleased to announce that Danika Poon, a first year Toronto Metropolitan University student, has been selected to receive the $5,000 Warren Wilkins Memorial Scholarship for the 2021/2022 academic year” said Mike Collinge, Chair of Canadian Print Scholarships.

The scholarship was established to honour the late Warren Wilkins, a visionary leader in the Canadian printing industry who worked diligently to foster and support new talent for the industry. It provides special recognition to a particularly deserving student starting their post-secondary studies toward a career in the graphic communications industry.

“Danika is a first year Graphic Communications Management whose progress to date has been stellar and who promises to make a strong contribution to the printing industries.” mentioned Tannisha Lambert, Program Manager for GCM at Ryerson University.

“This scholarship would not have been achieved without the efforts of my professors, teachers, and friends who have continuously shown genuine support in helping me learn about the Graphic Communications industry.” added Poon.

“The mission of Canadian Print Scholarships is to attract the brightest and best students available to the graphic communications industry by providing financial assistance to enroll and continue in a post-secondary management or technical program at an approved institution.”
